Custom Framed Wedding Dress (Museumpros Art Services Inc.)
Materials: Oak veneer particle board, oak, poplar, conservation glass, fabric, foamcore, matboard, mannequin
Dimensions: 40 x 50 x 10 in.
I worked with the client to design a frame for her wedding dress, which she wanted to display in her home and preserve. I built the frame out of 3/4" oak veneer particle board and routered 3/8" channel in each corner, added solid oak beading for sturdy and clean edges. The face of the frame is solid oak. The backing is a wood strainer made out of poplar with an MDF face, wrapped in velvet fabric. I cut the top rail at 45 degrees so the frame would hang on wall cleat. I modified the plastic mannequin which gave structure to the dress.
Custom Display Mount and Pedestal for Sioux Horse Saddle (Museumpros Art Services Inc.)
Materials: MDF, brass, paint, tube form, polyester batting, polyethylene sheeting, fabric
Dimensions: 37 x 19 x 48 in.
The Sioux horse saddle was in a fragile condition because it dated back to the mid 19th century. I designed a mount that protected the edges of the saddle, and provided at cushioned support which minimized any stress on the object. I added multiple layers of conservation-grade padding to build up the form. I built the pedestal out of MDF with a platform which acrylic box fit over.

Acrylic Display Case (Museumpros Art Services Inc.)
Dimensions: 18 x 16 x 4 in.
Materials: Acrylic, MDF

Exhibition Book Mounts (New York Public Library)
Materials: Acrylic, brass rods
I worked with the Exhibitions Conservator at NYPL to design and fabricate book mounts for exhibitions of the institution's permanent collection. Considerations such as the condition and weight of the book were factored into the designing a mount which provided support and prevented any added stress. I heat-bended acrylic sheeting to fit the shape of each individual book. Mounts were at supported by brass rods, which I cold-bended to specific angles and heights recommended by the conservator.
Custom Picture Frame (Museumpros Art Services Inc.)
Materials: Ash wood, paint
The client wanted to customize a pre-fabricated picture frame for her painting. I added a filet (yellow frame) to the interior which I milled and painted. I added a build-up to the back of the frame to accommodate the depth of the painting. I painted the build-up to match the existing color and finish of frame.
